Mentorship

Many children do not have a sense of family history because either or both of their parental figures are absent from their lives. Therefore, FDSF envisions a future in which every child is nurtured and embraced in love. All FDSF Mentors have a plethora of invested years of mentorship experience which they genuinely deposit into the lives of each mentee. Our Mentor/Mentee relationship are unbreakable to the extent that many of our mentee’s have become mentors to the next generation of Summer enrichment program attendee’s this keeps the chain of positivity and affluence keeping strengthening our communities one mentee at a time.

Summer Enrichment Program

FDSF’s Summer enrichment program has been operating since the summer of 2014 and has been continually abundantly thriving since its inception. FDSF  provides an array of resources to students during the summer to get them engaged in learning, as well as ignite their passion for new developments taking place in the world. Our goal is to prepare our students for the future.

Our summer enrichement program includes tutoring and mentoring programs, field trips to places like the Avaiation Museum, piano and dance lessons, and foreign language lessons.

In addition, our summer enrichment program also entails career and job fair, health fairs, S.T.E.M exhibitions, and back to school supplies distribution.

S.T.E.M Exhibitions

During the summer we host S.T.E.M Exhibitions that engage diverse students and enables them to share their ideas about S.T.E.M. We promote innovation through collaborative activities, and utilize resources that are new to students to get them thinking about a possible career in the STEM field. This exhibitions brings people of different backgrounds together, and allows for other scientists to share ideas and mentor our students.

Advocacy

FDSF has had the opportunity to reach out to abused spouses, underserved youth, low-income families, and the disenfranchised in our society. In addition, we provide support and advocacy for early childhood intervention and health development for the purpose of helping others become self-sufficient.

You are that agent of change the world is looking for. Start a Family Development and Samaritan Foundation chapter on your campus, in your church, or in your city. People are looking around for a leader to help them take steps in the fight against extreme poverty. Perhaps that leader is you. Set goals and go after them. Bring FDSF to your community and to others around the world.
